This model 7S530 (1941 model year) is a stunning example of Zenith's Art-deco design. The tabletop wooden case contains a three-band 7-tube AC superhetrodyne circuit radio. It receives the standard broadcast band and two short wave bands and has "automatic" or push-button tuning and the Zenith RadiOrgan tone control system.
These radios are great performers in both reception and sound. Having a dedicated radio frequency (RF) stage, the radio can receive shortwave stations even without long antenna. Having an antenna connected the reception is superb. The automatic tuning - operates flawlessly allowing presetting of 5 Broadcast AM band stations. The "radio organ" function operates great as well allowing wonderful sound afforded by the zenith speaker.
The chassis has been meticulously recapped and refurbished and aligned to the correct specs. The "wave magnet" antenna is fully operational. Every wire and harness in need of replacement have been replaced. The cabinet- completely restored and finished with correct toning and multiple layers of clear lacquer buffed out to such beautiful deep finish.
